Minnie was the oldest child of Thomas Alfred and Catherine Early (Morris) Key. She was born at home in Washita County, OT on Feb. 11, 1897. The family moved to Gotebo, Kiowa Co., OK in the early 1900s. She was the telephone operator for many years until the family moved to Chickasha, Grady Co., OK. She became a telephone operator for the Borden General Hospital, where she met her husband, Albert F. Held. They were married in 1945 and moved to the eastern seaboard. They were living in Mt. Royal NJ when he died. She then moved back to Oklahoma to be close to her brothers. Minnie and Al had no children, so her nieces and nephew were a bit spoiled. She was known as "Sis" to my dad and to me she was always "Aunt Sissie."
