Albert Blair Absher, Jr., born September 5, 1937 in Eckman, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2022. The son of the late Albert B. Absher, Sr. and Snor Vaughn Absher. He served active duty in the US Army from 1958 - 1960 and then the US Army Reserves from 1960 - 1964. He was a retired from Grief Brothers after 24 years of service as a Mechanic and Master Welder/Fabricator. He was known as a hard worker.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Marita Burks Absher; sons, Albert Blair Absher III (Linda) and Roby Lee Absher, Sr.(Joanne); six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather, and as a practical Joker.

The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 pm on Friday, September 30, 2022 at Updike Funeral Home, Bedford. There will be no services at this time.
