Rosetta "Susie" Sizemore, age 57, of Burke Mt., near Keystone, W.Va., went to be with the Lord Wednesday morning, December 17, 2008 at the Doug and Lucy Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, W.Va. after a long illness. Born June 10, 1951 in Eckman, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late A.B. Absher and Snora Susan Vaughn Absher.
She was a 1969 graduate of Northfork High School. She was the former owner and operator of the Tri-District Cleaners in Northfork, W.Va., and affiliated with the Baptist faith. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Spinella; two infant brothers; a stepson, Donald "Donnie" Sizemore Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Her devoted husband of 24 years, Donald "Don" Sizemore of the home; two brothers, John L. Absher and wife Anette of Newport News, Va., Albert Absher Jr. and wife Rita of Manita, Va.; a brother-in-law, Charles Spinella of Virginia Beach, Va.; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Widener Funeral Home Chapel, Northfork, W.Va. with the Rev. Ronald Miller officiating. Burial followed at the Boyd Cemetery at Meadows of Dan, Va. Friends called Sunday evening, December 21, 2008 from 6 to 8:00 p.m. at the Widener Funeral Home, Northfork. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Widener Funeral Home, Northfork, W.Va.
