Melba Grace Burgess Gillihan, 81, of Flippin, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at the Hospice of the Ozarks in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was born August 4, 1941, in Calico Rock, Arkansas to Oscar Ray and Beulah (Lawrence) Burgess. Melba married the love of her life, Clifton L. Gillihan on October 18, 1961. They were happily married for 56 years. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband; her parents; two brothers, Noel and Alvin Burgess and two sisters, Opal Gillihan and Maxine Lynn.

Melba is survived by two daughters, Carmon Morrow of Mountain Home, Arkansas and Connie (Eddie) White of Flippin, Arkansas; one sister, Marilyn (Larry) Smith of Sage, Arkansas; two brothers, Jimmy (Carol) Burgess of Calico Rock, Arkansas and Johnny (John Carl) Burgess of Calico Rock, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Cristin Jackson of Flippin, Arkansas, Jimmy (Sasha) Morrow of Melbourne, Arkansas, Leslie (Dianna) Morrow of Flippin, Arkansas and Carson and Blaine White of Mountain Home, Arkansas; ten great grandchildren, Ty Lane, Gracie, Cheyenne, Slayton, Lexie, Brentley, Alivia, Adrianna, Ronnie, Raylynn and a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Melba was a faithful member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Mountain Home. Mrs. Gillihan will be cremated and laid to rest by her husband at Spring Creek Cemetery where a private gathering will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks, 701 Burnett Drive, Mtn. Home, AR 72653. Arrangements are by Conner Family Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
