Carolyn Shoopman, 49, died Wednesday at 11:30 p.m. in the Decatur County Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 21, 1931 in Bell County, Kentucky, the daughter of Lewis and Rhoda Ribbons Green. She was employed at the IOOF Nursing Home until her health became impaired.

Survivors include her mother, who resides in Cloverdale; six brothers: Donald Green, Cloverdale, Lewis Jr. and John Green, Salina, Ohio, Melvin Green, LaFallette, Tenn., Millard Green, Indianapolis and William Geen, Martinsville; three sisters: Mrs. Charles (Dorothy) Muncy, Indianapolis, Mrs. Cleo (Mary) Watkins, Quincy and Mrs. Charles (Lois) Kimberly, New Castle, Calif., and several nieces and nephews.

The services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Browning officiating, and with burial in the South Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. today.
