WILLIAM H. CROSS DIES IN HOSPITAL // Had Been Confined To Bed Since July
William H. Cross formerly of Harristown, died at 7 o'clock Sunday morning at St. Mary's hospital. He was seventy-three years old last July. He had been suffering from a complication of diseases for a long time and since last July had been confined to his bed. Mr. Cross was born near Wyckles station, west of Decatur, July 23, 1853. His parents were Jacob and Jemima Cross, All his life had been passed in that neighborhood. He was a successful farmer and was prominent in the community. He was a life-long member of Sharon Methodist church.
TWO CHILDREN
Mr. Cross and Miss Elizabeth Helen Teegarden were married July 23, 1873. She died in June, 1921, and since then he had made his home with his daughter in Decatur. Mr. Cross is survived by two children, Mrs. Mary Leonard and John J. Cross, both of Decatur. The body was removed to the Brintlinger & Sons undertaking establishment and prepared for burial and Monday afternoon was taken to the home of Mrs. Leonard, 1128 North Van Dyke street.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 o'clock Tuesday morning at the Sharon church. The burial will be in the Wyckles cemetery.
