Memorial services for Evelyn Lorraine Hanssmire, 71, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Waterloo, were Saturday at First Unitarian Church, San Antonio.
She died Thursday (July 16) in San Antonio. The cause of death was undisclosed.
She was born July 15, 1916, in Waterloo.
She worked for Children of Prisoners in San Antonio.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathryn Dahl and Paula Tarzian, both of Annapolis, Md., and Pamela Hanssmire of Acton, Mass.; a son, Stephen Hanssmire of Hopkinton, Mass.; a sister, Helen Boemecke, San Antonio; a brother, Charles Mohlis of Waterloo; and six grandchildren.
Mission Park Funeral Chapel, San Antonio, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
