Paul Hansmire, (Col., USAF Ret.) of Naples and formerly of Kansas City, MO, died on July 9, 2007 after a lengthy illness. Paul graduated Waterloo High School in Iowa. He was commissioned into the Army Air Corps in 1942 and served in the Pacific during WW II. He flew in the Berlin airlift and received the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement in 1959. He retired as a colonel after 25 years. Paul and Marjorie retired to Naples in 1988 and enjoyed 20 years of tennis, swimming and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Marjorie; three daughters; one son; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister. Services will be private. Beachwood Society 261-1767
