WILLARD P. ALTIS
Willard P. Altis, son of Samuel W. and Julia (Brooks) Altis was born near Cabool March 4, 1892 and departed this life May 28, 1972 in Texas County Memorial Hospital at age of 80 years two months and 24 days. He had been in failing health for the past two years.

On March 1, 1916 he was united in marriage to Emily Carter and she preceded him in death in 1949. On March 2, 1952 he was married to Beulah Poe who survives.

For many years he lived and worked in Kansas City area as an electrician and when he retired he had been a member of the Electrical Union for over 50 years.

He returned to Cabool about four years ago.

Early in married life he was converted and always gave freely to the church and charitable organizations.

He was also a member of the Barnes Masonic Lodge #116 Cabool, Missouri.

Besides his wife, Beulah, he leaves two brothers, Paul of Cabool and Ezra of Columbia, Missouri, two sister, Mae Crossland and Ada Schorr both of Cabool, also a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him.

Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. May 31 in Elliott-Gentry Chapel with Rev. Marvin Jacobs officiating. Burial was in Cabool Cemetery.
