He was born March 24, 1903, in Ada, Okla., to George and Lilleta (Bell) Cox. He moved with his family to Chelan in 1912. He married Viola Bateman on Oct. 6, 1923, at Chelan.
Survivors include his wife, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Tom (Yvonne) Smith, East Wenatchee; three brothers, Mack and Terry, both of Chelan, and Lee of Prescott, Ariz.; two sisters, Lillie Harden and Wilma Veroske, both of Chelan; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
