Please note that there seems to be a discrepancy on the date of death for Minnie. Headstone shows 1918. But the 1920 Census shows her to still be living. Family records state that the date of death should be Dec. 18, 1920.

Minnie was the daughter of Simon Hooper, a veteran of the Mexican and Civil War, and Mary Ann Short.
Minnie married William Hise on 21 Sept 1898 at Hamburg, Fremont County, Iowa.
Minnie's mother, Mary Ann (Short) Hooper, lived with Minnie after the death of Minnie's father in 1893 until her death in 1905.
William, Minnie, and son Maurice then moved to Wilson County, Kansas. William worked as a real estate agent for many years.
Minnie Hooper was the sister of my great-great-grandfather, John J Hooper.
