Walter Jay Cagle, 80, a long-time Chelan resident, died in the Lake Chelan Community Hospital Saturday following an extended illness.
Mr. Cagle was born on April 8, 1886, in Davenport. He came to Chelan in 1908 where he married Rae Stewart on Sept. 12, 1911. Mr. Cagle worked as a nurseryman for many years.
He is survived by his widow; two sons, Duward "Dewey" Cagle, Oakland, Calif.; and Vincine Cagle, Renton; and 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Terry Cagle, who was killed during World War II.
