Sarah "Babe" Butts, 84, Kettle Falls and formerly of Chelan, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 1990, at Pinewood Terrace Convalescent Center in Colville.
She was born March 18, 1906, in Antione Creek, near Chelan, the daughter of James and Laura (Greenlee) Adams. She moved to Chelan in 1933 and to Leavenworth in 1934. She moved to Monroe in 1953 and to Wenatchee in 1965. She returned to Chelan in 1969.
She was seasonally employed at Trout Inc. She moved to Kettle Falls in 1981 to be near her son, James Stone. She has been a resident at Pinewood Terrace since October of 1989. Mrs. Butts was a member of Chelan Eagles Auxiliary No. 2218.
Besides her son in Kettle Falls, she is survived by a son, Clinton E. Stone, Buckley; one sister, Della Jones, Seattle; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
