Former Co Resident Dies In California
Esther Saulvester of Glendale, California, passed away October 25, 1981. Esther Marie was born February 16, 1906, in Washington Co, one of ten children, to Jens Blak [sic] and Anna Jensen. She grew up in Washington Co and was a former Blair resident. She was preceded in death by her husband, R.J. Schenck, her parents, four brothers and three sisters. After Mr. Schenck's death, she moved to California and later married Harold Saulvester. Survivors are her four stepchildren, two sisters, Hannah Jensen and Mrs. Cleo (Stella) Hall and several other relatives.
Note: NOT Buried At Grand View, despite some speculation that she was interred near her second husband. Cremated, ashes scattered at sea
