Alie passed into the loving arms of her Savior on July 5, 2022. She was 92 years old. Alie was born on June 21, 1930, in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, to Sybrand and Johanna Vander Dussen. Alie immigrated to America after World War 2 with her family at the age of 17. In 1949, she married Dick Vander Meer and they were married for 65 years and blessed with 4 children, 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren -- with one on the way. Alie was preceded in death by her son, Sybrand, and her husband, Dick. She is survived by her sons, Dick Jr. (Elizabeth) and Alan (Isabel), and a daughter, Terri Lynn Boschma. There will be a gravesite service at 10:00am with a Celebration of Life at 11:00am in the Chapel at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Riverside on July 27th.
