Thomas Herman, 71, of Chelan Falls died Saturday morning as a result of an automobile accident. His 1929 car ran off the old stage road along the south wall of Chelan gorge and dropped 200 feet.
He was born at Edwall, March 8, 1883 and spent his early life there. He was married to Minnie Logan, August 12, 1909 at Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
Surviving are his wife, five daughters, Mrs. Walter Wood of Winthrop, Mrs. Phil Brown of Chelan Falls, Mrs. Ethel Thomas of Lakeside, Mrs. Virgie Wooden of Alberta, Canada and Mrs. Charles Dalhgreen of Kelowna, British Columbia; two sons, Albert of Twisp and Donald of Lakeside; three sisters, Mrs. George Meilke and Mrs. Jack Voss, both of Spokane and Mrs. John La Fountaine of Cashmere; 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Wednesday.
