Funeral services for Mrs. Christine Willis will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2022, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, with Sister Vesta Mangun officiating.
Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Colfax, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Mrs. Willis, 90, of Alexandria, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, in The Lexington House, Alexandria, LA.
She was born in Gary, Texas and grew up in Grant Parish. She was a homemaker and a very hard worker. She was a fantastic mom who always gave her all for her children. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by one son, Hubert Nolan Willis, Jr.; her parents, Walter and Hattie Hinton; three brothers, L. D. Hinton, Earl Hinton, and Junior Hinton; and two sisters, Irene Nichols and Polly Coutee.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include one son, Buddy Willis, and his wife Linda, of Lena; one daughter, Nancy Smith, and her husband Carl, of Lena; eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Saturday, July 2, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Philip Willis, Stephen Willis, Taylor Willis, Mike Smith, Scott Smith, Carl Smith, Jr., and Adam Gerace.
