Walter "Junior" Hinton

Funeral service for Walter "Junior" Hinton will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 16, 2004 at First Church of God, Lena with reverend Jim Lofton officiating under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville. Interment will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Colfax.

Mr. Hinton, age 71, of Boyce, entered eternal rest Saturday, November 13, 2004 in St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria.

He was a native of Central Louisiana and a veteran of the Korean War. He was a loving father and husband. He was a retired Oilfield Driller.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Hattie Hinton and one brother L. D. "Coubee" Hinton. He is also preceded by his loving wife of 39 years Inez West Hinton.

He is survived by two sons, Claude Hinton and wife Linda of Alexandria and Rothen Hinton of Boyce; one brother, Earl Hinton of Jena; three sisters, Polly Coutee, Irene Nichols and Christine Willis all of Boyce; also survived by three nieces, one of which he was very close to Nancy Smith of Boyce and twelve nephews, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Friends may call Monday, November 15, 2004 after 3:00 p.m. till the time of service at First Church of God, Lena.
