Obituary for Yvonne Brandon
Yvonne Brandon was born on June 24, 1940 in Healing Springs, Arkansas to William and Otie McGarrah. She went to be with Jesus on June 24, 2022 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 82.

Yvonne was the seventh of eight children. She loved school and graduated as Valedictorian of Bentonville High School in 1958. Yvonne married John Brandon on August 15, 1959 Healing Springs, Arkansas. They went on to have two daughters – Michele and Nichole. She and John were happily married almost 63 years.

Yvonne came to know the Lord at an early age and was a long-time member of Woodlake Assembly of God. She was passionate about making her house a warm and inviting home and about raising her girls. She absolutely loved being Grams and spending time with her four grandchildren. She rarely missed their sporting events and was also a devoted fan of all things Arkansas Razorbacks.
Yvonne's life was marked by her God-given gifts of hospitality and giving. She loved throwing parties for friends and hosting family dinners. She took every opportunity to meet others' needs and provide help in any way she could. She had a fierce commitment to her faith, family and friends.

Yvonne fought a courageous battle with ovarian cancer that spanned 22 years. Even in the struggle, she considered herself extremely blessed and loved every minute the Lord gave her on this earth.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, John; daughters, Michele Etter and husband Steve, and Nichole Wilkinson and husband Geoff; four grandchildren, Dillon Etter and wife Ciera, Danielle Etter, Trevor Wilkinson and wife Averi, Natalie Beasler and husband Mason; great-grandchildren Oaklyn, Auden, and one on the way; siblings Harold McGarrah, Barbara Sturm, and Wanda Brannon and dozens of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Paul, and sisters Evelyn, Elsie, and Bonnie.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 5-7 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Woodlake Church, 10444 S Mingo Rd, Tulsa, OK 74133 with Pastor Jamie Austin officiating.
