Paul Emerson McGarrah, 85, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015, at his home surrounded by family members. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville. Paul was born to William and Otie McGarrah in July 1930 in Lowell, Ark. One of eight children, he would move to Wichita, Kan., to work at Beech Aircraft. When he returned from serving in Korea, his boss, a blind man, announced that he had just hired Paul's future wife, Carolyn. And he was right -- Paul and Carolyn were married six years later and had two beautiful children together, Michael Paul and Marla Sue. Paul was a dedicated and loving husband, father, coach, pilot, mentor and grandfather. He touched so many people of all ages with his kindness and smile, and he was the definition of generous. His heart was filled with joy even with advanced dementia, as he knew the Lord. His legacy lives on. "See you later alligator...after while crocodile."
