Josephine Cecelia Urban, Age 96, of Ellis, Kansas passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Society, Ellis. She was born August 7, 1925, in Hays, Kansas to Joseph and Cunnigunda (Korbe) Augustine.

She married Alfred Urban in Hays. He preceded her in death August 18, 1981.

Josephine was a homemaker as well as a long-time babysitter for numerous families in the Hays and Ellis area. Josephine had also worked at the City Café in Ellis and Dan's Café in Hays. She was a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Ellis and she enjoyed gardening.

Josephine is survived by a son, James Urban and his wife Jill of Ellis; two grandsons, Clint and Kevin Urban both of Ellis; two brothers, Robert Augustine and Laverne Augustine and wife Betty all of Hays; and a sister-in-law, Rosie Augustine of Hays.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Kyle Urban; brothers, Alfred, Marvin, Ralph, and Francis Augustine; sisters, Mary Ann (Younger) (Whitaker), Lucille Younger, and Norma Weigel; brother-in-law's, Mike Younger, Charles Whitaker, Elmer Younger, and Art Weigel and sister-in-law's, Ernestine Augustine, Rozanne Augustine, Betty Augustine, and Luella Augustine.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 15th, 2022, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Hays with Fr. Dana Clark officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Hays following services at the church. Visitation will be 6 PM – 8 PM Tuesday, June 14th, 2022, and Wednesday, 9 AM – 9:30 AM all at Brock's-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601. A combined rosary and parish vigil service will be 7 PM Tuesday at Brock's-Keithley Funeral Chapel in Hays.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ellis or the Good Samaritan Society, Ellis.
