Francis James "Augie" Augustine, 88, Salina, died December 6, 2021 at Bethany Home, Lindsborg. Augie was born Feb. 26, 1933 in Hays, KS. the son of Joseph and Cunnigunda (Korbe) Augustine. He was the owner operator of Augustine Automotive and had been a manager and former 3 time Salina VFW Post 1432 Commander. He was an Air Force veteran and had served in the honor guard for the funeral services of former President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Augie was preceded in death by his wife, Bernadette, a son, Donald, and a grandson, Shaun.

He is survived by his children; Rick (Linda), Randy (Tammi), Dennis, Sandra Johnson, Donna Graybeal and Kimberly Augustine; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the All Saints Cemetery where military honors will be presented by Salina V.F.W. Post #1432. Friends may call at Ryan Mortuary on Friday, Dec. 10, 2021 from 4 until 8 p.m. and where vigil services will be held at 6 p.m. that evening.

Memorials are suggested to the church or VFW Post 1432.
