Widow of Charles Samuel Vanderveer /Vanderver (1839-1894), by which she had eight daughters and one son, and Dave Kelso Gibbons (1857-1910). She was the daughter and first known child of Irish immigrant Patrick Finnigan/Finegan from Co. Down(c. 1822-c. 1878) by first wife, Cynthia Lee Isam/Isom/Isham of S. Carolina(1824-1878). Kate was sister of Sarah Isabella Ballou, Henry Edward Finnigan, and six others. (See Memorials by Richard Finegan for additional connections.)
