Alex instructed & supervised the Radio, Television & Electronics repair Courses at SWLA Vocational Tech School, Crowley, LA before retirement from the state. Alex was an accomplished musician on steel guitar. He played with many recognized bands in LA, including several years on Louisiana Hayride-Shreveport, with Jimmy C. Newman. He is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Crowley, LA
