SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for C/MSgt William Dale Burford, 86, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Reverend Ron McLellan. Pastor of Gloster Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Trinity Episcopal Cemetery, Gloster, LA, with full military honors.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 14, 2008 at the funeral home.

Mr. William Dale Burford was born July 21, 1921 in Gloster, LA to Harris T. Burford, Sr. and Sallie Hall Burford.

Mr. Burford was preceded in death by, his first wife, Earlyn B. Burford; daughter, Cheryl B. Button; sisters, Sarah B. Heard of Shreveport, Louisiana and Garland B. Hartsfield of Fort Smith, Arkansas; brothers, Harris T. Burford, Jr. and Robert H. Burford of Gloster, Louisiana, and Richard B. Burford of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Mr. Burford is survived by, his wife, Betty Clem Burford of Shreveport, Louisiana; step-children, Amy Bush and husband Michael, Susan Marie Derivas; and Charles "Tommy" Craine.

A beloved nephew and name sake, William Dale Burford and family, Donna, Brad, and Britni Burford; sister, Helen B. Griffith of Huntsville, Alabama; brother, James U. Burford of Gloster, Louisiana; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers will be military.

The family wishes to express a special thanks to the staff of Heritage Manor Stratmore and Doctor Richard Haynie for their care, love, and kindness.
