Helen Burford Griffith, a resident of Huntsville, Ala., and a former resident of Baton Rouge, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at her home. She was 95, born Nov. 6, 1914, in Gloster, to Harris Tinker Burford and Sallie Hall Burford.
Survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Harris Griffith, M.D., and wife Susan, and Rolf Parker Griffith, M.D., and wife Virginia, all of Huntsville, and Gilbert Burford Griffith, D.V.M., and wife Sarah, of Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Rolf Parker Griffith III, of Nashville, Tenn., Amy Griffith Garrison, Laura Griffith Aylward and Sallie Griffith Chung, of Huntsville, Emily Griffith Stubbs and Katherine Anne Griffith, of Savannah, Ga., Catherine Griffith Nosacka, of Dallas, Ashley Griffith Simoneaux, of Thibodaux, Christopher William Griffith and Wesley Mckay Griffith, of Baton Rouge, and Jennifer Griffith Cheatham, of Metairie; 15 great-grandchildren; and brother, James Underwood Burford.
Preceded in death by her husband, Rolf Parker Griffith Sr.
