Memorial services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Philip L. Howell, 71, of 200 E. Second St., who died Wednesday at his home. A Masonic chapel service will be performed. All Masons are asked to gather at LaGrone Funeral Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Family will receive friends in the vestibule of the funeral chapel following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Parkinson Foundation, 360 W. Superior St., Chicago, 111. 60610. Mr. Howell was born on May 14, 1917, in Bloomington, Ind., to Mr. and Mrs. Leo Howell, both deceased. He was married Dec. 19, 1964, in Ann Arbor, Mich., to Edna V. Fox, who survives him .He had been a Roswell resident since October 1973. He retired in 1972 after 15 years as purchasing agent for Hoover Ball Bearing Co. He was a life member of Roswell Lodge No. 18 A.F.&A.M and a past master of the Masonic lodge in Reading, Pa. He was preceded in death by two brothers. Survivors include one son, Tom Leroy Howell of Morton, Pa.; three stepsons, William John Wilkinson of Garden City, Mich., Daniel J. Wilkinson of Belleville, Mich., and John J. Wilkinson of Dexter, Mich.; four daughters, Mary Tracer of Antioch. Calif., Phyliss Sweeney of Reading, Carolyn Parker of Hillsdale, Mich., and Kathy Marsh of Burrel, Calif.; two sisters, Mildred Sickels of Odessa, Texas, and Martha Souleles of Week, Calif.; two brothers, David Howell of Apache Junction, Ariz., and Leo Howell of Troy, Mich.; 17 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
