DEATHS RULED ASPHYXIATION AT ODESSA
Odessa--Justice of the Peace E. E. Nobles Wednesday afternoon ruled that the Rev. and Mrs. Leo Taylor Howell found dead at noon in thier South Odessa apartment, died of asphyxiation. The Rev. Mr. and Mrs. Howell were both ministers in the Foursquare Gospel Church. They were found dead by their daughter, Mrs. Robert I. Sickels. Officers kicked in a locked door on the apartment and found the couple in bed. Mrs. Howell, 47 was in pajamas. The Rev. Mr. Howell was dressed in street clothes. The couple had moved to Odessa from Detroit about two months ago. They were building a church mission in South Odessa. The Rev. Mr. Howell is survived by six sons, Carroll Howell, Phillip Howell, Robert Howell, Kenneth Howell, Raymond Howell, and David Howell, all of Detroit; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Sickels of Odessa, and Mrs. Fred M Souleles of Beaumont Calif., and 21 grandchildren.
