Amanda B. Benavidez, 91, of Cedar Creek, Texas, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2022 at 10:00 am in Kyle, Texas at Seton Hospital . She was born on January 22, 1931 to Graciano Balderas and Lucinda Mayorga Balderas in Rio Grand City - La Casita Ranch, Texas.


She is preceded in death by her husband of 72 Years, Felix Benavidez who died January 17, 2022.

Parents Graciano Balderas and Lucinda Mayorga Balderas.

Brother Desdichado Angel Balderas, Sisters Herlinda Balderas (Born May 29, 1933 in La Casita, Starr Co.,Tx) Married Bruce Canada). Flor Estela Balderas (Born April 21, 1937 in La Casita, Starr Co, Tx.) Died shortly there after. Maria De Jesus Balderas (Born Nov.21, 1938 in La Casita, Starr Co,Tx.) Married Jose Lopez. Maria De Los Angeles Balderas (Born Jan. 22, 1943 in La Casita, Starr Co.,Texas) Married Manuel Dominguez. Placida Balderas (Born September 23, 1944 in La Casita, Starr Co,Tx. Died Aug. 26, 1945 in La Casita,Starr Co.,Tx.) and San Juanita De Los Balderas (Born April 5, 1949 in La Casita, Starr Co., Tx) Married Carlos Bazan.

** Granddaughter, Violet Bredna Benavidez Orosco and Grandson, Michael Brandon Benavidez Hernandez


She is survived by daughter, Edna (Nick) Benavidez Martinez of Cedar Creek, Tx. and son Gary Lee (Anna) Benavidez of Kyle, Texas. Grandson, Christopher Benavidez Hernandez, Granddaughters Michelle Benavidez Hernandez, Araceli Benavidez Martinez and Natividad Benavidez Torres.


She is also survived by one sister, Lucia Mayorga Balderas Trevino (Born Dec. 13, 1928 in La Casita, Starr, Texas.


Pallbearers: Christopher Benavidez Hernandez Sr., Christopher Hernandez Jr., Michelle Benavidez Hernandez, Araceli Benavidez Martinez, Theo Menchaca and David Torres.


Viewing will be at Harrell Funeral Home, Austin, Texas.


Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Austin, Texas. She will be buried next to my Dad.
