Amanda Elizabeth Daniel née Wiggins was born about 1865, in Alabama. She was the daughter of Martin Van Buren Wiggins (1837-1915) and Sarah Tommie née Henderson (1844-1922), who were living in Randolph County, AL at the time.
Sometime before the middle of 1890, she married Thomas Lewis Daniel (1868-1936) and they had four children together: John Monroe (1891-1971), Dessie Belle (1893-1981), May Belle (b. 1895), Effie Belle (1898-1969).
Amanda died in a house fire in 1899. Her son John Monroe said she got too close to the fireplace and her clothes caught fire. Amanda is thought to be buried in Bethlehem Campground UMC Cemetery near Graham, Randolph County, Alabama.
