In this city, on the evening of the 25th of March, Mrs. Martha Ashby Stringham, aged 41 years, widow of the late Briant Stringham.

Martha Ellen Ashby is the daughter of Susan Hammond and Nathaniel Ashby Nathaniel. She married Alonzo Bucklin December 16, 1850. They had one child. Alonzo died in 1854.
She then married Briant Stringham August 12, 1856 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They had eight children.
Briant married three Ashby sisters Susan Ann Ashby March 21, 1850 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married Harriet Maria Ashby April 20, 1852 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married Martha Ellen Ashby on August 12, 1856 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
