DEATH TAKES DARROLD FEIS

Twelve-year-Old Son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Feis Suddenly Dies.

The friends and neighbors of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Feis truly sympathize with them in the sad loss that has come to them during the past week. To see loved ones who have reached a ripe old age depart brings the sting of sadness, but even more so those in youth with all of life before them as in the case of Darrold, their only son, who passed on Sunday after a brief illness.

Darrold, who was of a sunny disposition, was a favorite among his schoolmates and in the home, being the only son in the family, yet at home. He will be sadly missed by relatives and his host of friends.

Obituary

Darrold Challice Feis was born March 19, 1919 and passed away at the family home near Bladen, May 10, 1931, aged 12 years, 1 month and 21 days.

He was a regular attendant of the Methodist Sunday school.

When told that life here for him was a matter of a few hours, he calmly waited in simple childish trust until the angel of death released him from this world of pain and suffering.

Two brothers having preceded him in death, he leaves to mourn his departure, his parents, Mr. and (sic) Henry Feis, five sister (sic), Mrs. Ed Kral, Mrs. Howard Reed, Dorothy, Melba and Betty Feis; one brother, Wallace, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lowdy (sic); besides other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. H. C. Johnson at the Methodist church (sic) Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. Misses Fisher and Milstead, teachers of the Cloverton school, which Darrold attended, sang impressively "Abide With Me" and Beautiful Isle of Somewhere."

Interment was made in the Campbell cemetery (sic).

There is no death! The stars go down
To rise upon some fairer shore,
And bright in heaven's jeweled crown
They shine forever more.

And ever near us, though unseen,
The dear immortal spirits tread;
For all the boundless Universe
Is life - there are no dead.
