Margaret Mary Janousek, 87, of Iron Mountain, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at
Dickinson County Healthcare System.
Marge was born November 20, 1934, in Stiles, WI, the daughter of Rosalie "Zoe" (Younger) and
Mark Murphy and was the oldest of 13 children.
After graduating from Lena High School, Marge attended Misericordia School of Nursing in Milwaukee, WI.
On April 14, 1956, she married Ronald Janousek in Lena, WI, and they were lovingly married for 63 years before he passed in 2019.
Marge is survived by five children: Mark of Surprise, AZ; Dawn (Dennis) Mellenthin of Green Bay, WI;
Trish (Butch) Rieschl of Birchwood, WI; Kim (Nan) Janousek of Green Bay, WI; and Matt (Kristen) Janousek of Iron Mountain, MI.
She is also survived by six grandchildren: Andrea, Chris, Tracy, Dan, Paige and Eden; five great-grandchildren: Adison, Brody, Shelby, Jax, and Charlie; sisters: Kathleen Glish and Rosalie Murphy;
brothers: Paul, Bill, Vince and Pat;
and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and her husband Ronald, Marge was preceded in death by her brothers:
Mark, Robert and Peter, John, Jerry, Tom; and infant sister Patricia and four nephews.
Marge was passionate about her 35 year career as a registered nurse, retiring as Assistant Director of Nursing at Dickinson County Hospital. She enjoyed being a homemaker, was a fantastic cook and a wonderful baker. Many people were fortunate enough to be the recipients of her culinary skills!
She also enjoyed working in her gardens. Marge received the most joy from her grandchildren,
who were so fortunate to have her as a grandmother.
Private family services will be held.
