Robert Lee Alspach was born 1875 to Henry Alspach and Samantha Huff Davis Alspach in Boone County, MO. his sister Mary Candies was born 1877 and Baby Martha in 1891. Eulalie Ether born 1893 in Boone county, MO. Baby Martha died in 1900 and is buried in the St. Leo Catholic cemetery at Cushing, Payne, OK. Befor the 1900 census the family had moved to Creek county OK.
In the 1900 census the spelling has been changed to ALSPAW.
Robert married Lydia Sisler in 1902 in Cushing, Payne, OK. To this union there were 11 children born. All the names began with the letter E... Elbert 1903; Elva 1904;Robert and Lydia when Eva area near Guymon and filed homestead; born here were Ethel 1906; Ernest 1907; Emma 1908; Erman 1910;
Edith 1912 and Esther 1913... They took their family and returned to the Stroud are where Earl Henry was born 1915 in one of the 2 tents they had set up. He died in 1917 and is buried in the Stroud cemetery. Elda was born 1919 at Welty, Okfuskee, OK and the last one Elsie born 1921 at Edna, Creek, OK and at this writing is the only one still living in CA. 6 of the children all moved to CA during the dust bowl. Five of them are buried there. One daughter Edith lived at Beggs on a farm with her husband and children. Robert walked the back roads between Mounds and the farm. He was visiting here when he died in 1943. He is buried in the Oakwood cemetery, Mounds, Creek, OK. By his side is his wife of 37 years.
