Obituary for Elsie Opal Cox
Elsie Opal Alspaw Cox was born May 6, 1921 to Robert and Lydia (Sisler)Alspaw. She was born in Edna, Oklahoma and was one of thirteen siblings. Elsie was the last sibling remaining until her passing on July 7, 2017.

Elsie worked at several different photo shops including Payless, Sears and Henley’s. She loved taking pictures and documenting all the wonderful trips she took with her loving husband, Fred L Cox, Jr. During their 75 + years of marriage they visited over half of the 50 United States in their camper and then Fifth Wheel trailer. She also made sure her grandchildren and great grandchildren had the opportunity to travel with her across the country and just down the road to wonderful fishing spots.

Elsie was very active at her church, Revival Tabernacle for many years and treasured her faith in Christ. She also included her grandchildren and great grandchildren in her weekly worship time.

In her later years she took up oil painting and we have many canvases to document her wonderful talent.
