JESSIE FRANCIS RITES
Miss Jessie A. Francis, 79 of La Plata, died early Monday morning in a Macon nursing home, where she had been a patient for the past two weeks. She had been in failing health for several years.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Pollock Funeral Chapel in La Plata and burial was in the La Plata Cemetery.
Miss Francis was born Feb. 28, 1893 in the Star community in Adair County, the daughter of Charles Oliver and Martha Ellen (Cupp) Francis. She had worked at the Tansil-Grantges department store in La Plata for many years.
Miss Francis was a member of the La Plata Christian Church.
Surviving are several cousins, including Edgar Francis of La Plata.
