ROBESONVILLE -Martha Geneva Cannon Butts born July 8, 1933, to the late Zadie, and Joseph Cannon passed away on Friday, November 18, 2016. Martha was married to William Reed Brinson on August 31, 1952, who passed away on January 21, 1972.

She was survived by four daughters; five Sisters; ten grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her dear friend, Mary Alice Bland.

She was preceded in death by sisters Myrtle Joyner, Mildred Midgette, Margaret Daughtry; brothers Oris Cannon and Mac Cannon.

The family received friends on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Gold Point Church of Christ in Gold Point, NC. The funeral service followed at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gold Point Church of Christ.
