Eugene ""Mon'' Christmas, a retired heavy machine operator for Boh Bros., departed this life on Friday, November 7, 2003 at Memorial Medical Center.

He was 81 years. He was born in Natchez, MS, then later moved to New Orleans, LA.

He leaves to cherish his memories: 4 daughters: Janice L. Scott of Westwego, LA, Geneva Ratcliff of Slidell, LA, Debra A. Dents and Pauline C. Cheatham of N.O., LA; 2 sons: Aaron Pierre of Waggaman, LA and Keith Christmas of N.O., LA; 4 sisters:
Alberta Morton, Mamie Davis, Ida Scineaux of N.O., LA and Florestine Williams of Natchez, MS; 2 brothers: Alphonse Christmas of Natchez, MS and Issac Christmas of Sagarw, MI;

15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 1 daughter-in-law, 3 sons-in-law, 1 sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by: his parents: Henry and Janie Christmas; wife, Evelyn Christmas; 2 sons: David Christmas and Eugene Pierre; 1 grandson, Rodney Scott; 5 sisters and 6 brothers. Dismissal will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2003 at Calvin J. Young Funeral Home, 2512 LaSalle St. to be held at 9:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. Burial will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery. RICHARDSON FUNERAL HOME in charge.
