Shirley Crider, 73, passed away on March 13, 2022, at her residence.

Shirley was born on May 23, 1948, in Van Wert, Ohio, to Lloyd Elsworth and Ethel Lenore (Miller) Agler.

She married Irvin D. Crider, On July 28,1988, who survives in Elida.

Shirley was a graduate of Ohio City High School and retired from the Ford Motor Company Lima Engine Plant, where she maintained some of the factory's first computers running Microsoft Windows. After her retirement, Shirley became a regular volunteer for AARP. She would frequently travel across several states to see relatives, or across town to chat over a cup of coffee with friends. Shirley also enjoyed watching her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members participate in a variety of activities, including sports, dance competitions, and cattle showings at the fair.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Aaron (Lori) Crider and Tony (Megan) Crider; Grandchildren: Shelby Crider, Max Crider, Claire Conklin, Zoe Crider, Lexi Crider; brother, Ronald E. Agler; sisters: Loma Miller, Joyce L. (Raymond) Eller, Kathy Funk; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers: Marvin Lee Agler, Ned E. Agler, James Agler; and sisters, Anna Jeanette McAfee and Carolyn Felver.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2022, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. A graveside service will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Pike Run Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
