Catherine Alice Curran Thomas, the fourth of thirteen children, was born June 25, 1930 in Wilmington, DE to Francis M Curran and Nellie (McHugh) Curran and died peacefully on December 29, 2007 in Weston, Florida after a brief illness.

As a military wife, Kitty lived abroad for many years in Panama and Okinawa.

She was preceeded in death by her parents, along with 3 sisters and 2 brothers:Francis J Curran, Anne Curran, Joan B (Curran) Goralski, Suzanne (Curran) Donovan, and Richard Curran.

She was also preceeded in death by her first husband, Alfred Deacon De Prisco.

Kitty was survived by her loving family which includes children Judith DePrisco, Jacqueline Thomas, Colonel Richard W Thomas Jr, and Jennifer Thomas and their respective spouses, along with 4 grandchildren: Evan, Aaron, Alex and Brianna.

She was also survived by her former husband, Richard W. Thomas, and her loving sisters and brother: Helen DePrisco, Margaret Moos, Elizabeth Connor, Marie Hare, Rosalie Ewing, Dorothy Wardell, and Anthony A Curran, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass was held at Saint Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Little Italy, Wilmington Delaware on January 5, 2008.

There will always be a special place in my heart for Aunt Kitty. She is my mother's sister and was married to my Dad's brother, and it was through Aunt Kitty and Uncle Al that my parents met.

She was absolutely devoted to Saint Joseph, and I know that when she died, he was there to meet her. Rest in peace Aunt Kitty.
