Dorothy was the daughter of Francis M and Nellie G (McHugh) Curran.

She was a graduate of Padua Academy and for many years owned LaFemme Mystique, an antique and vintage clothing store in Wilmington, Delaware.

In addition to her parents, and her husband, Donald "Rocky" Wardell, who passed in 1979, Dorothy was preceded in death by the following siblings: Francis Curran, Anne Curran, Catherine Thomas, Joan Goralski, Suzanne Donovan, and Richard Curran.

Dorothy was survived by her daughter, Nellie Jo Forman; her brother, Anthony Curran (Terese); her sisters: Helen DePrisco, Margaret Moos (Marvin), Elizabeth Connor, Marie Hare (Bill), and Rose Ewing (Larry);and many more loving relations and friends.
