Death Record - Benjamin Stephens Van Wyck, aged 33, married, a speculator, born 1855 in South Carolina, the son of William Van Wyck and Lydia Ann Maverick, died on August 31, 1888, in Manhattan, New York, and was buried on September 3, 1888 in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Estate - In the Name of God, Amen, I, Benjamin S. Van Wyck, of the City of New York, New York, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, and considering the uncertainty of this life, do make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, as follows:
First, after my lawful debts are paid I give to my brother, William Van Wyck the oil painting (portraits) of my father, mother and my infant sister, Mary, which was bequeathed to me by my mother.
All the rest, residue and remainder of all my estate, real, personal and mixed, I give, devise and bequeath to Estelle K. Noe, whose maiden name was Estelle K. Hill, of the City of New York in the State of New York.
I hereby appoint the said Estelle K. Noe to be Executrix of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills and testaments heretofore made and executed by me.
In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal, the twenty-second day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six. Benjamin S. Van Wyck
