Reva "Dixie" Maudetta (Hopkins) Bruhn

September 3rd 1928 – February 24th 2022

Reva was born in Wishart, Missouri to Okley Israel Hopkins and Minerva Ruth (Gent) Hopkins and had four brothers and three sisters. She married Kenneth Carns and had four children, and eventually settled in Visalia California. Reva worked as a waitress and went on to marry Gus Colvin, then John Bruhn. She converted to Catholicism as an adult attending St Mary's Catholic Church and regularly prayed the rosary. Reva enjoyed genealogy authoring several books, gardening, and her beloved dog Polly of many years. Reva was a dedicated grandmother to her eight grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Reva is predeceased by her parents, all her siblings, her daughter Jacquelyn Carns, and her daughter Francine (Carns) Reynoso. She is survived by her daughter Victoria "Vicki" (Carns) Sechrist and her son Michael Carns. She is also survived her eight grandchildren and her many great grandchildren.

Reva will be buried at the Visalia Cemetery, services will be private.
