Funeral Home Papers
Laura Ann Voiles daughter of Wm H. and Ruth Michael Voiles was born near Forrest Hill January 6 1876, She was united with the Presbyterian Church at an early age. Following the admonition of the Lord. "Remember thy
Creator in the days of thy Youth." Her church home was moved to Burks, Chapel and later to this church.
On July 21 1901 she was married to Alford A. Owens and their home was blessed wtih two children, Mrs. Ernie (Lula) Black of near Burney and Cleatus Irvin at home.
She was a good neighbor, a faithful wife and loving mother. Anna as her friends called her, was preceded to the better land by her father mother, two sisters and a brother. Surviving are the husband, son, daughter and six grandchildren, two brothers, Reese and Charles.
Anna departed this life on 22 Dec. 1938, doubtless with the summons of the Master ringing in her ears "Well done, thou good and faithful servant; thou has been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler
over many things, enter thou in the joy of thy Lord."

My grandmother's name is Lula Inez Owens, her middle name is spelled wrong in the obituary. It is how she always
spelled her name.

Should be Alford should be Alfred Allen Owens. My mother always called her grandfather Alfred, so did her brother's and sisters.
