Virginia Diane Bruce Cunningham, 72 of Madisonville, Ky. passed away at 1:45 am Saturday Jan. 29th, 2022, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.
Diane was born in Madisonville on Feb. 22nd, 1949 to the late John William "J.W." Bruce and Hilda Rae Williams Bruce Gammon.

Diane was a 1968 Graduate of the last class of Madisonville Sr. High. In her lifetime she worked at various jobs including The Hopkins County Hospital and at NHC/Kentucky Rest Haven in Madisonville.

She was pre-deceased by her parents and step parents Hilda and Willie Herman Gammon of Madisonville and J.W. and Jo Evelyn Lutz Bruce of Nebo Ky., Father-in-law Hughston McCleon Cunningham Sr. and Mother-in-law Montie Bee Clayton Cunningham of Madisonville, a grandson Zacharie Lee Cunningham and granddaughter Jessica Nichole Clark. brother-in-law Hughston McCleon "Mac" Cunningham Jr. , sister-in-law Lola Bee Cunningham Ball, brother-in-law Roger Dale "Buddy" Ball, and sister-in-law Debra Ray (David) Cunningham.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Larry Douglas Cunningham, daughters Shawna Michelle Cunningham Clark (Martin) Garcia of Old Hickory Tn., Tracy LaShelle Cunningham (Amanda Morley) of Urbana Il. and son Brandon Shane (Angela) Cunningham of Madisonville, Ky. Sisters Shirley Mae Bruce (Billy) Duvall and Lisa Faye Bruce Whitfield, all of Madisonville, Ky., and Brother Darrell Wayne Bruce of Utica, Ky., Brother-in-law William David Cunningham of Charlestown In., Sisters-in-law,
Willadean Louise Cunningham (Gene) Baggett of White Plains, Ky., Tempie Marlene Cunningham Phelps of Nebo Ky., and Ruth Ellen Cunningham McCarty of Madisonville. Ky., Grandchildren Amanda Michelle Clark (Chris) Fridley of Hendersonville, Tn., Shay Taylor Morley-Cunningham of Urbana Il., Seauth Alexandra Paige Cunningham of Madisonville and 2 great grandchildren Alexis Michelle Morgan of Old Hickory Tn., and Sofia Rose Fridley of Hendersonville, Tn. and granddaughter-in-Law Robin Annette Townsend Cunningham of South Carolina. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Diane loved, most of all, her grand children and great grand children. She loved reading Christian romance and historical novels, her Soap Operas, which she would record and watch every night. Diane was a big NASCAR fan with Dale Earnhardt Jr. as her favorite driver, and she absolutely loved The St. Louis Cardinals. She would record every game so she wouldn't miss any of the action. Also holding a special place in her heart, the ladies of the local T.O.P.S. Chapter #0189 in Madisonville where she was the leader.

Burial will be a Olive Branch Church Cemetery in Hanson, Ky.
Pallbearers will be Matt Beatty, Darrell Bruce, Chris Duvall, Jeff Duvall, Trevor Duvall, Jamie Fox, Chris Fridley, and Glenn Jones. Also, Coleman Duvall will serve as honorary pallbearer.

The Cunningham family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the men and women of Baptist Health Deaconess for their valiant efforts in trying to save the life of our Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Aunt.
