Mrs. E. J. Davis died in St. Paul at
the home of her daughter, last Sunday
morning, at the advanced age of 85
years.
The funeral services will be held on
Tuesday, and she will be buried at
Sauk Centre, beside her husband, who
preceded her some twenty-five years.
The deceased came to Sauk Centre
with her husband and family of small
children in 1867, and lived here until
three years ago, when she went to St.
Paul. She was an estimable woman,
and lived to see her children successful
and respected. She leaves three
sons and two daughters—John W.
Davis, St. Cloud; T. W. Davis, Long
Prairie, James E. Davis, Burlington,
Iowa; Mrs. Hugh [Elizabeth] McNally, St. Paul,
and Mrs. E. A. [Easter Ann] Hendry of Sauk Centre.
A grandson, L. Hendry, is conductor
on the Great Northern.
