Mrs. Vik died May 7, 1998, in the Ardmore hospital. She was born May 10, 1922, at Wilson, to Joseph A. and Annie B. Ely Carroll.
Reared at Wilson, she moved to Lake Elsinore, Calif., where she owned and operated Jo Vik Insurance Agency from 1970 until 1992 when she retired and moved to Enville. She was a former member of Soroptimist Women's Rotary Auxiliary and Downtown Women's Association.
She is survived by two sisters, Gladys Wyatt an Eula Kirby, Ardmore; a brother, Emmitt Carroll, San Antonio, Texas; two daughters, Jessie A. Black, Lake Elsinore, and Claudia J. Thompson, LaPorte, Texas; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Bearers were Joe Croskell, Terry Thompson, Randy Black, John R. Black, John Black Jr. and John Black Sr.
