Mrs. Luella Hobson Dies Dillon home

Resident of Beaverhead County for Over Half-Century Passes

Mrs. Luella, Hobson, a resident of Beaverhead county for over a half-century, died at her home in Dillon late Friday following a long illness.

Well and favorably known throughout the county, she had a host of friends who were deeply grieved to learn of her passing.

She was born in St. Louis, April 20, 1860, and came to Dillon in 1887, only seven years after the city had been founded. Here she had made her home ever since.

She was an active worker in the Baptist church and took a great deal of interest in other community activities.

Surviving her are her son, Richmond Hobson of Fullerton, Calif., who arrived here Monday, and a sister, Mrs. Sabina Sprinkle of Dillon.

The funeral was held Monday afternoon from the First Baptist church. The Rev. R. O. Shannon of Lewistown, former pastor of the Dillon church, officiated. Interment was made in Mountain View cemetery.
