This is Find A Grave. This is not Find An Obituary.

This is not Find A Photo, although in 2021 FAG changed the preferred photo to the person photo. That is contrary to the purpose of this site.

We would like to see memorial managers order the photos so the gravesite photo regains top position.

We prefer to respect copyright on obituaries. We will post a synopsis, with a source citation, but not a full recent obit. 6/2023

When posting photos that are not of the grave marker please click the appropriate radio button describing the type of photo. In this way the "other" items will make way for the photo of the grave. 11/5/2020

Please refrain from adding memorials to cemeteries for people based on an obituary, but without proof of burial. Too many are being added to cemeteries in which they are not or not yet buried. Memorials can be marked as "cremated" or "burial unknown", etc., and can be moved to the cemetery once burial has taken place. Just because an obituary appears locally does not mean the person is buried there. 2/2021

Please, before declining a suggested edit, message us with questions on source or reasons. When these are asked for after a decline, the suggested edit remains as "declined", even though the edit is subsequently made. 12/2020

Please do not re-post any of our photos to other memorials or other sites. Just send us a message with the memorial needing a photo and we will be happy to upload one.
