Willard Laughlin
Willard M. (Wib) Laughlin, 72, of 115 Fenton St., a retired superintendent of the City Street Department, died Sunday at 10 a.m. at City Hospital after a four - day illness. A native of East Liverpool, Mr. Laughlin was born Oct. 30, 1899, a son of William G. Laughlin and Margaret Allison Laughlin. He had resided here his lifetime. He retired after 32 years of service with the city. He was a charter member of the Municipal Employes Union here. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Robertine A. Swearingen Laughlin, at home; a son, Richard H. Laughlin, also at home; two brothers, E. B. Laughlin of East Liverpool and Frank Laughlin of Beaver; a grandson, Barry K. Laughlin, at home. Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home by the Rev. Paul George of the Boyce United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Hookstown. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
